overcoming odds

This is a true story of someone defying the chances. Ten a.m. on February second two-thousand-and-eight, a hold up in a store killed many, allowing one survivor. A man pretending to be a delivery man walked into the store, and shortly after to pull out a gun and demanded money from the cashier. But he refused and took four women to the back room and tired them with duct tape. One of the victims called nine-one-one, following after to get shot. Subsequently six women were shot when police arrived. The man did all this for a couple hundred bucks he stole. There was only one survivor who was shot but was not died, playing dead so he would not shoot at her again. She was able to describe the shooter in detail, yet there are no suspects to be found. This woman has truly overcome the odds. People like these will live no matter what life will throw at them. This story reminds me of another like it. Caron Butler was once living in jail and looked like he would not have a bright future. But he found his way out when his talent of basket ball made Caron big. Hopefully this story will inspire others to know that when things are bad there is a chance to survival.
