war

For the war blog I did the conflict in Gaza. From this war, 1,200 or more Palestinians died and 13 Israelis died from this conflict. I personally think that Israel is being a bit of a bully, but both sides have thrown bombs and it is wrong. I wish they could share but that seems like a stretch. To many religions Jerusalem is a holy important place, which has created much fighting over throughout the times. After world war two, Untied Nations gave the Jews a homeland in Jerusalem, the problem was that people were already occupied there. But all politics aside, innocent people living in the Gaza Strip are living in fear, wondering if this is the day there homes will get blown up. These are real hard working people and I don’t see how putting three thousands people homeless who had no intention of doing anything to Israel solves the problem. One man (Mr Atamna) interviewed by BBC news (Palestinian) has just lost his home and is living in a metal shack next to his ruined house along with pregnant wife and seven children. Mr Atamna says he wants the future to be better, but does not see it happening. Safety and comfort is a luxury they live without. They said they have worked so hard for the house and car they once had, is now in ruins. This reminds me of a book I read about a young women living in Iraq. She was going to school working hard for a degree while occasionally hearing bombs dropping. There is nothing good in war, but I guess it is just a way of live it seems. Maybe one day we can be responsible and sensible.
